Acme Hall Studios is the result of a long-term musical collaboration between Rebecca Pronsky and Rich Bennett, two native Brooklynites, who collectively share 30 years experience as practicing musicians, music teachers, and recording artists in New York City.
Part educational space, part state-of-the-art recording facility, Acme is set up for use by both professionals and learners, making us a unique and inspiring musical setting. Acme’s faculty of dedicated teachers and audio professionals supports musicians of all levels, without bias for particular styles or genres.
We offer lessons in drums, bass, voice, guitar, cello, piano, ukulele, and audio production to adults, teens and children ages 8 and up, as well as ensembles and small group workshops. We work with recording clients in our recording studio on overdubs and voice-overs as well as long-term production and mixing projects.
Acme is located is in the heart of Park Slope, at the crossing of two major neighborhood arteries, 7th Avenue and 9th Street, in an historic building once known as Acme Hall, built in 1890. We are seconds from the subway (F/G to 7th Ave).
We welcome you to explore our studios and hope you’ll find a place here in our musical community.
